SF Norge AS tar i første omgang inn 15.000 eksemplarer av samle-Blu-ray Disc-boksen av Ringenes herre-filmene.
– Vi kommer til å fokusere på boksen siden det er selve samlingen de fleste fans har ventet på og vil bevilge seg. Den tar vi i første omgang inn 15.000 stk av. Vi bestiller i tillegg opp 2000 av enkeltutgavene av filmene, forteller Hege C. Bergrem, som er label manager hos den norske distributøren.
Nå er det også laget en egen Blu-ray Disc trailer for utgivelsen, som du kan se nederst i denne artikkelen, og du bør selvsagt velge 1080p HD-versjonen av traileren.
Det har lenge vært kjent at Ringenes herre-filmene skal utgi på Blu-ray Disc og i lang tid var planen at de skulle komme før jul i fjor. Men Warner Home Video i USA, som har ansvaret for New Line Cinema-filmene, ombestemte seg. Det var «for mange» BD-titler som skulle ut før jul, og man ville derfor vente til en anne tid på året. Lanseringen 06.04.2010 skjer dermed verden over.
Som tidligere rapportert, er det kun de ordinære kinoversjonene av filmene som nå lanseres på BD, ikke de utvidede spesialutgavene. Disse versjonene av filmene må vi dessverre vente enda noen år på, sannsynligvis i forbindelse med videogramreleasene av de to kommende Hobbit-filmene (som kommer på kino i hhv. 2011 og 2012).
